AI WordPress Maintenance
The upkeep jobs, done by your AI: backups, plugin checks, broken links, 404s, media cleanup and restoring an older version of a post. With server access connected, it can also get a crashed site back.
My site shows a white screen after a plugin update
- !Read the PHP error log: fatal error in one plugin
- ✓Disabled that plugin by renaming its folder
- ✓Site loads again; backup taken first
- ✓Reported which plugin and version caused it
wptaskify gives your AI WordPress maintenance tools: full site backups with a download link and restore, plugin lists and activation, site health checks, broken links and the 404 log, unused media cleanup, and post revisions to roll back. If you connect server access, it can also read the PHP error log and disable a plugin that crashed the site. Risky actions wait for approval.
Upkeep your AI takes care of
Each of these is a real tool your AI calls.
Set it up in four steps
About two minutes on any self-hosted WordPress site.
Plugins → Add New, search “wptaskify”, activate and click Connect. No passwords to copy.
Add your wptaskify MCP link to Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client.
“Back up the site.” “Find broken links.” “Why is the site down?”
Restores, deletes and plugin changes wait for your approval.

How it compares
| wptaskify | Maintenance plugin | Care plan agency | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ask in plain words | Yes | Settings screens | Email and wait |

You stay in control
The part worth being careful about, said plainly.
New content is saved as a draft unless you ask for it to go live.
Publishing, deleting, bulk edits and price changes wait for your yes.
The plugin creates an application password - a separate credential, not your login - and it is encrypted before it is stored. You can revoke it from your WordPress dashboard at any time without touching your account.
Delete the connection from your dashboard or deactivate the plugin. Access stops immediately and nothing is left behind on your site.

AI WordPress maintenance questions, answered
The short answers. Anything else, ask us directly.
01What maintenance can the AI do?
Backups and restores, site health checks, plugin activation, broken links and the 404 log, unused media cleanup and post revisions. With server access connected, it can also read the error log and disable a broken plugin or theme.
02Does it update plugins?
Not yet. It lists plugins and can activate or deactivate them; updates are still done in WordPress.
03Can it fix a white screen?
Yes, if you connect server access. It reads the PHP error log, finds the plugin or theme at fault and disables it, after taking a backup.
04What is server access?
An optional connection to your hosting (SFTP). Without it, every other tool still works; it is only needed when WordPress itself is down.
05Will it delete things without asking?
No. Restores, deletes and plugin changes wait in your approval inbox.
