Every Monday, check new posts for SEO and fix what is missing

wptaskify
Autopilot job saved: weekly, Mondays
This week: 3 new posts, 2 missing meta descriptions
Wrote both descriptions and 5 internal links
Changes waiting in your approval inbox
In short

WordPress SEO automation with wptaskify works in two ways. Bulk: one request writes missing meta descriptions, adds internal links, fills empty alt text and redirects broken links across every post. Recurring: Autopilot (beta) runs an SEO task on a schedule, such as checking new posts every week or finding posts that are losing traffic. Your AI also regenerates the sitemap and pings search engines. Bulk changes wait in your approval inbox.

Step by step

Set it up in four steps

About two minutes, then the work repeats without you.

Install the free pluginPlugins → Add New, search “wptaskify”, activate and click Connect. No passwords to copy.
Connect your AIAdd your wptaskify MCP link to Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client.
Describe the SEO job once“Write meta for every post that has none.” “Every Monday, check new posts.”
Approve, then it repeatsBulk changes wait in your approval inbox. Recurring jobs run on their schedule.
Real tools, not a chatbot

SEO work your AI does on repeat

Each of these is a real tool your AI calls, once or on a schedule.

Bulk metaWrite missing SEO titles and meta descriptions across every post and page.
Bulk links and imagesAdd internal links site-wide and fill empty alt text with AI that looks at the image.
Broken links and decayFind broken links and redirect them, find posts that are losing traffic and refresh them.
Recurring jobsAutopilot (beta) repeats an SEO task daily, weekly or monthly. Sitemap regenerated, search engines pinged.

You stay in control. Risky changes (publish, delete, bulk edits, price changes) wait in your approval inbox - nothing goes live until you approve it. Your credentials are AES-256 encrypted and you can disconnect any time.

Honest comparison

How the three options compare

A technical comparison of a managed WordPress MCP server against self-hosting an open-source MCP or using WordPress.com's built-in AI.

Key takeaway: self-hosted MCP setups run commands straight away and leave you holding the API keys. wptaskify runs the server, encrypts the credentials, and holds every risky action for your approval.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What WordPress SEO can be automated?

Missing SEO titles and meta descriptions, internal links, empty alt text, broken links and redirects, finding thin or decaying posts, regenerating the sitemap and pinging search engines. Recurring checks run through Autopilot (beta).

Will bulk changes go live without me?

No. Bulk edits wait in your approval inbox, and you can review them before anything changes on the live site.

How is this different from WordPress AI automation?

That page covers automation in general: content, scheduling and site jobs. This page is only about SEO work that repeats.

Does it overwrite SEO fields I already wrote?

No, not by default. It fills only fields that are empty, and it shows a preview of what it will write before anything is saved.

Which SEO plugins does it work with?

Yoast and Rank Math, or no SEO plugin; the free wptaskify plugin then stores the fields.

What a tool looks like

Your AI never sees this - it reads the list and picks. This is one of the 587, exactly as the server hands it over.

The words on this page

Model Context Protocol (MCP) An open standard that lets an AI model discover and call outside tools. The model asks a server what it can do, gets a list back, and calls the ones it needs. Anthropic published it in 2024 and Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor all speak it.
WordPress REST API The interface every WordPress site since 4.7 exposes for software to read and write its content. It is how wptaskify makes changes - the same doorway the WordPress editor itself uses.
Application password A separate password WordPress issues for software, not for logging in. It can be revoked on its own without touching your account. The plugin creates one and it is encrypted before we store it.
Human-in-the-loop execution Reading and drafting happen straight away; anything that changes what the public sees - publishing, deleting, price changes - stops and waits for a person to approve it.
If you have used Zapier, Make or n8n

Why this is not an automation

Rule-based automation and MCP solve different problems. Here is the difference, without the sales pitch.

A Zapier, Make or n8n workflow

You build the steps. When a post is published, send it here, then format it like this, then post it there. It runs exactly what you drew, every time, and it is excellent at that - moving a known thing between two known places on a schedule.

What it cannot do is decide. If the job is "find every page with a weak title and rewrite it", you have to define what weak means, in advance, as a rule.

wptaskify over MCP

You describe the outcome. The AI reads what is actually on your site, works out which of the 587 tools to call and in what order, and does it - then shows you anything risky before it goes live.

There is no workflow to draw and nothing to maintain when your site changes. The trade is that it is a judgement call each time rather than a fixed rule, which is why publishing waits for your approval.

They are not exclusive. Plenty of people run scheduled automations for the predictable work and use this for the parts that need reading and deciding.

Pricing

What it costs

You connect the Claude or ChatGPT you already pay for, so there is no second AI bill. These prices are for the server and the tools.

Free$0One site. Draft posts, write SEO and product basics, organize categories. No card.
MCP Solo$19/moOne site with WooCommerce store tools, Studio and automatic backups. Around 50 SEO-ready articles a month.
MCP Pro$49/moUp to 5 sites, store tools, Studio and automatic backups. Around 200 articles a month.
MCP Agency$99/moUnlimited sites and AI actions, Studio and automatic backups, team access.

Indian pricing is shown in rupees on the pricing page, which has the full feature list.

Data and privacy

What happens to your content

Your site password The plugin creates an application password - a separate credential, not your login - and it is encrypted before it is stored. You can revoke it from your WordPress dashboard at any time without touching your account.
Your content We pass it between your AI and your site. We do not keep a copy of your posts or products to train anything, and we never sell or share your data.
Your AI The model is yours - your own Claude or ChatGPT account, under your agreement with Anthropic or OpenAI. Both state that they do not train on business API data by default; their terms are the authority on that, not us.
Disconnecting Delete the connection from your dashboard or deactivate the plugin. Access stops immediately and nothing is left behind on your site.
