WooCommerce docs
Let your AI manage products, stock, orders and coupons on a WooCommerce store.
What it is
WooCommerce runs inside WordPress, so the same plugin connection gives your AI the store tools as well.
How to connect
- Connect the WordPress site first (see WordPress).
- Add
https://wptaskify.com/mcp/storeto your AI for the store tools.
Store tools are on every paid plan, from MCP Solo at $19 a month.
Permissions
The same application password as the WordPress connection. WooCommerce data is reached through the WooCommerce REST API.
Available tools
Your AI can use 41 WooCommerce tools, including:
- Products, variations, attributes, categories and tags
- Stock and sale prices
- Orders, notes and refunds
- Coupons, customers and reviews
- Product descriptions, images, alt text and SEO in bulk
See every tool.
Example prompts
- “Show me today's orders.”
- “Add sizes S to XL to these T-shirts.”
- “Write descriptions for products that have none.”
- “Which products are out of stock?”
Approval
New content is saved as a draft unless you ask for it to be published. These actions always wait for your approval on the server, in the chat or in your dashboard under Approvals:
- Refunds (WooCommerce and Shopify)
- Cancelling a Shopify order
- Permanent deletes of posts, pages and products
- Deleting media, users, coupons, categories, terms and menus
- Deleting Shopify products, collections, pages, articles and discounts
- Putting a product on sale
- Switching the active theme
- Deactivating a plugin
- Writing the .htaccess file
- A live find-and-replace across the site
Each approval covers that exact action once. Choose always allow for a tool to stop being asked. See Security for the full model.
Security
Credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Refunds, deletes and sale prices always wait for your approval.
Disconnect
Remove the site from your dashboard or deactivate the plugin.
Troubleshooting
If store tools say WooCommerce is not active, check that WooCommerce is installed and activated, and that your plan is a paid plan.
If connecting fails with “could not reach your site” or a security-plugin block, allowlist these fixed IP addresses: 162.220.232.250, 152.55.176.240, 152.55.177.181.
- Wordfence: Firewall → Allowlisted IP Addresses, add all three, and keep “Disable application passwords” off.
- Cloudflare: add a WAF allow rule for the three IPs, or skip the challenge for
/wp-json/. - Sucuri or your host's firewall: allowlist the IPs or ask the host to allow REST API access.
Step-by-step fixes: Connection failed.
