ChatGPT docs
Add wptaskify to ChatGPT with developer mode.
What it is
ChatGPT connects to wptaskify as a developer-mode app over MCP.
How to connect
- Use a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise).
- Settings → Security and login → turn on Developer mode.
- Settings → Plugins, click + to create an app.
- Set the MCP server URL to
https://wptaskify.com/mcp, create it and sign in.
Permissions
ChatGPT can call the tools your plan includes on the sites you connected.
Available tools
410+ tools across your connected platforms.
Example prompts
- “Write and publish a post on choosing a water softener.”
- “Fix missing alt text on my site.”
Approval
New content is saved as a draft unless you ask for it to be published. These actions always wait for your approval on the server, in the chat or in your dashboard under Approvals:
- Refunds (WooCommerce and Shopify)
- Cancelling a Shopify order
- Permanent deletes of posts, pages and products
- Deleting media, users, coupons, categories, terms and menus
- Deleting Shopify products, collections, pages, articles and discounts
- Putting a product on sale
- Switching the active theme
- Deactivating a plugin
- Writing the .htaccess file
- A live find-and-replace across the site
Each approval covers that exact action once. Choose always allow for a tool to stop being asked. See Security for the full model.
Security
ChatGPT never receives your site passwords; it calls tools that wptaskify runs for you.
Disconnect
Delete the app in ChatGPT's settings.
Troubleshooting
Developer mode is rolling out gradually. If the option is missing, it is your ChatGPT plan or region, not your site.
Step-by-step fixes: Developer mode missing, Tools not showing in ChatGPT.
